How do you know only 3 were in danger? If they aren't being fed, what's the odd that they are getting vaccines and wormings and wound care, and believe me, horses need wound care. Vet care is expensive. If these scumbags can't pay for food, who knows what diseases these horses have. Foot care costs money. Tooth care costs money.

I read a news story. I take it the articles linked in this thread failed to report public information?

It's out there you just have to do a simple search on a site like google or yahoo.

Yes they are awful people but these people wouldn't be heard of and there wouldn't be a thread if it wasn't for another awful person who took advantage of an obviously mentally unstable, wet behind the ears young woman.

If they are two criminals with long histories of neglect then obviously he is partly to blame, Nick.

Unless you're one to believe a guy like him doesn't have the capability to ask around the backside about these two. If things have changed in the past decade then he would've had enough info to know they were bad news.

If he really loved his horses and it wasn't all about him and his ego then yeah he would've been overly cautious and not handed his best one over to her.

He is equally despicable and I think he needs booted out of the sport with them.

I am barred from running due to having two diskectomies in september. Years of track, along with a lot of other physical activities, have caused degenerative disk issues..
And yeah, since im only four weeks out from a full hysterectomy with complications, id be hard pressed to beat anyone.

He probably hired her because she was cheap, and less than ethical. Birds of a feather and all that.

I stopped reading after the second sentence.

If side deals aren't allowed (and they shouldn't be) then she has the money to keep the horses fed.

But she shouldn't have been within 500 yards of Runhappy. That's on the owner.

It's insulting to all of the successful female trainers in the sport in a society that is focused on propping up women who achieve greatness in a game that has been dominated by men.

And it's mostly to blame on a guy who sells mattresses.

It's almost to the point we're in a Mel Brooks movie.
