Interesting to see what develops.
Maybe Gomez jumps ship, and Larry Jones brings P-Val on for Hard Spun.

Yes, I'm joking.

He can't get off unless Jones lets him. Looks like " the man who runs racing " aint gonna be running this one.

But they met on a few occasions, right? I say stretch battles, I guess I meant match-ups. But yea, I do remember the one battle.

I'm not sure they met more than twice and Lite Light dusted her in the CCA Oaks. Truth be told, Lite Light was much the best in the Mother Goose.

I think Durkin may have said that initially.

Greg Fox gave J.V. the OK to ride Rags to Riches instead of Slew's Tizzy.

Sounds like they had an agreement beforehand. Frankly, the way Johnny has been riding it won't matter anyway.

I think he said it as part of the race call didn't he? and then it stuck.

Greg Fox came to his senses.

Must've been watching some Belmont replays.

Let's see now. Pletcher sporting an ofer in triple crown races. Is there just a hint of desperation in this move?

It's honestly amazing how poorly Johnny has ridden lately. It's like he doesn't care anymore. He was never as great a rider as some made him out to be, but he was pretty damn good, and lately he looks like the second coming of Mike Smith. It seems like if he isn't riding a cadillac for Pletcher he just " goes where they aint. "

I don't think so at all. He's running a horse who is one of the choices. Doesn't seem desperate to me. Running Circular Quay could have been construed as desperate perhaps.

To me it improves two races from a wagering standpoint.....it makes this Belmont more interesting and it removes a 2:5 shot from the Mother Goose.

I think he showed everyone the evidence when Circular worked with Rags and looked like he was going to get bitchslapped.

The move to put a filly in will arouse a lot of 'casual fan' awareness and interest IMO.

That's exactly what it looks like. He's sleepwalking through the races.

I need one of those disclaimers here: The following does not represent the views and beliefs of DT Management and/or it's Memebers.

A complete guess on my part, but I would say he's got something wrong in his personal life or he has something physically dogging him. Either way, if he needs to step away to get his life in order, I suggest he do it soon.

I believe the horse that finished third in the Derby and won the Preakness went into the Derby with only three prior races, all against weak fields. If u are good, u are good. Her ability is not determined by who she races against; only her results are.

That can't be a good move. I don't think he really wants a mile and a half and Zito looked to have him positioned nicely for a money-making summer campaign.

I would have chosen Prado over JV.
