Not sure if anyone posted this already but AGS ran a 115 Beyer. . . Nice!

travers 'unlikely' for AGS--pletcher mentions the brooklyn or jcgc as possible only start before the classic.

I think AGS has more of a future at 10f than Lawyer Ron, so the JCGC makes sense for him. AGS's running style and his dam-side pedigree (AP Indy, Spectacular Bid etc.) suggest that despite his fairly flat performance at 10f in May, he may be effective at that distance going forward. |

I came back with the same number (115) when I made my projection. |

I'd guess AGS goes to the Brooklyn and Lawyer Ron to the Woodward and they both go to the BC Classic from there. Pletcher seems intent on giving no thought to any historically significant races late in the racing season in his quest to bring every horse into the BC "fresh".

I'm not sure what races out there have more historical significance than the Woodward unless it's the JCGC. I agree, though, it's a shame that what used to be the Fall Championship Series has been reduced to a couple of prep races. Hell, the Marlboro is gone. Alas, I lament. |
