If I was playing
this is how I would play it
3: 3 4: 1,4,7,8 5: 1,4,8 6: 1,2,8 7: 3,10 8: 1,5 You are right about Danny Boy, that race is so bad, and the horses that show anything arguable, it isn't on the poly. Ringmaster might be a decent include, for when the race falls apart. On a grade scale, it is probably a D+, and the only reason it gets the '+' is because of the size of the pool |

Root, I started thinking about it, and if you are the aggressive type, I can see people singling Abbey Cat in that bad race. There are some BAD BAD horses in this race
1) Comparacion - Off a full year, never hit the board while here 2) Warren's Alohamoon - Off half a year but gets Blanc for comeback, who knows what happened in that Del Mar race 3) Kachina's Dream - Perfect horse for the 10k claimers they like running at Gulfstream, 3rd start off year layoff, shown nothing 4) Inaheartbeat - Off half a year, synthethic races are bad 5) Meg's Operator - Needs to be retired 6) Pirate's Charm - Victor Navarro and hasn't been under 29/1 in his last 6 starts 7) Kentucky Waltz - off a 1/3 of a year, hasn't shown much 8) Abbey Cat - Decent recent start while shortening up, 2nd time in a row sprinting, at least finished prior race, gets some poundage from others, should get the pace Here are the rest of my thoughts on this 1) This race might be the lowest gross handle for Santa Anita this year, WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD BET THIS RACE? 2) I understand and respect the concept of putting competitive races in the P6 sequence, but this race is a disservice to the bettors IMO Last edited by Scav : 03-19-2008 at 10:56 AM. |

I do think Abbey makes the most sense..I am just a bit worried about her not showing enough early and leave to much to do late. They took the blinks off last time out. I think there is a chance one of these so called horses could run off and stagger home.
