Wood Winner. Just read the chart from Sunday, saw he was vanned off. I haven't been able to find out anything, so if someone hears.....He's a personal fave. Want to make sure he has a good home if his racing days are over.

Don't anyone tell me if Nopie dies, he just got shipped from the Sherman barn at GGF to Turf Paradise... he was my favorite horse in Steve's barn (sshhhh, don't tell anyone but I liked Nopie better than my own horse ). Nopie was like a big puppy dog, he loves being scratched and would look longingly at you when you walked away from his stall...he's the only horse I ever saw that looked at the camera in the winners circle photos... I love that about him
I just don't want there to be any confusion here and am a little worried as there's a post on another forum (by a dear friend)....

Still waiting to hear about Smoocher and I'm sorry if i gave anyone the wrong idea that he was gone. I have no idea and no one to contact but his being here and not on the angels thread gives some hope, right?

Okay I just needed to clarify that and hope that we hear good news about him.

Where was Wood Winner's race? I'll look around.

There's a horse i like, I'll Prey for You. Not in my stable mail but apparently something went wrong for him and any word is appreciated.

Can't find and haven't hear anything.

Good news on Smoocher though!

I finally heard back from the track....

"Smoocher will no longer be racing but is alive and well at a retirement home for horses."

YES! Thank you for that update, I wonder which "retirement home"? It would be nice to know so a donation can be sent to help him...

News says: he was talking and fine when they put him in the ambulance, had a small seizure (he has them with his brain tumor)

If you ever find out, let me know.

I wrote back to ask but no reply (yet?).

Spenditallbaby..... any news?

Love this girl. Hope she's okay.

I was a fan of her sisters too.... such a shame. Runforthemoneybaby was a really nice horse.

Per today's Santa Anita barn notes: "According to Barry Abrams, a breeder and the trainer of Spenditallbaby, the 5-year-old mare sustained two fractured sesamoids early in the running of Saturday’s Sunshine Millions Distaff and will be evaluated at Abrams’ barn for “the next four to five days.” It is hoped she can be stabilized and can be operated on to repair her ankles when she is ready . . ."

Definitely hope the horse makes it as she was a hard knocker with all the starts she made in a short time frame.

saying that Spenditallbaby came out of her surgery well and is resting comfortably.

Spenditallbaby, who suffered two fractured sesamoids early in the Sunshine Millions Distaff on Jan. 24, continues to hold her own following surgery a week ago Friday. “So far, so good,” said trainer Barry Abrams, who has the daughter of Unusual Heat at his Santa Anita barn .

Blue Exit in the Big Cap. What happened? I just looked away for a split second and heard he was pulling up.
