Well, they would be better off realizing they must execute pitches, or they will lose. This belief that the boogieman is after them only feeds other teams. The Dodgers have decent pitching. Did they beat the Dodgers (3 in a row at Wrigley) earlier this year by scoring a slew of runs? No, they pitched well against a team that doesn't do well against good pitching. Stop pressuring your own batters, and start pitching. You can't expect to win by having 7 walks, and throwing Loney a cookie with the bases loaded. That has nothing to do with a curse. It's a very bad pitch, and good execution by Loney. However, you gave him the opportunity. In the 2nd game, I kept hearing that Zambrano pitched a good game(he just got hurt by poor fielding.) You know what? That pitch he threw Ethier(to start the inning) wasn't good enough. That pitch he threw Martin was very bad. That pitch he threw Manny was too straight. He didn't pitch good enough. Look at the pitches Santana is throwing Boston tonite. You can't win playoff games throwing that s-h-i-t. Your team hasn't pitched well. It's not a curse. You blame your hitters because you don't recognize your opponent's pitching. Your hitters missed some pitches, but when Chad started throwing cookies, they were all over it. Ramirez missed a couple poor pitches, and Soriano didn't make him work enough. You have a chance to take 3, but you must pitch. There seems to be way too much attention on batting (in your city,) and not enough attention on pitching. If Harden pitches well, the Dodgers will probably not score on him. That game he threw in the playoffs a couple years ago would probably be good enough to shut us down. I can see you taking 3, but if you're gunna believe in curses, then you're diggin' ya own grave.

On the surface that doesn't make much sense, because the Dodgers were a much better team at home this year than they were on the road, but this thing is about pitching matchups.

I have zero confidence in Kuroda, and then I think Ted Lilly will get the job done for the Cubs in Game 4. It has looked like a total mismatch so far, but I think the odds of Kuroda beating Harden are slim, and one victory by the Cubs can turn the whole thing around.
ted lilly pftttttt !!!!!!!!!

Now going back to this reply. I believe in the same thing that Cub pitching is too good to let down. But which Ted Lilly are we going to see? The regular season pitcher that has done quite well, or the jittery guy (a la Dempster) that we saw against in Arizona in the playoffs last year.
lol

Cubs can be summed up in one word, OVERRATED! Cubs fans can soon start enjoying their second century without World Series triumph.

Default Rejected Cubs T-shirt Ideas

Where's Bartman?

Bring Back Bartman

Bartman, Say It Ain't So!

Pulling for Dodgers-Rays World Series as that would really, really upset Yankees (and the Boss) as Torre managed team challenges AL East champion (and Boss' hometown) Tampa Bay Rays. You can't make this stuff up!

What's with all the glee in the Cubs losing? If this were the Red Sox, I'd join you, but I feel bad for Cubs fans.

You're right, I'd probably feel differently if I lived in Illinois. Still, I find it tough to hate a team that hasn't won a championship in 101 years.

Given this particular situation, I think he is gunna step up, and be a warrior.
He stepped up. Being at that game was the most fun me n' my Dad ever had together. He is 77, and fat. Winning a playoff series before he kicks it wasn't looking like a very good possibility. Kuroda really came thru for us. Fans were so into this game. The Cub fans sure showed up in our house, and with every pitch people were talkin' s-h-i-t back n' forth (all night.) Something about this team is different than the ones who won the World Series. These guys really appreciate their fans, and share it with them. Broxton was throwing strikes. I couldn't believe it. This fatboy was actually getting it done. Went right after them. It was amazing. Finally got that monkey("can't win a playoff series") off our back.

You see Bowa do this? Hilarious. I'm sure they talked about it a lot on T.V.

I'm looking at the video of some of these breaking pitches from Kuroda, Wade, and Broxton. Can't believe it. All pitching with great break...LOL..
