![]() I was talking with someone and they were wondering how it is that the Lakers have played so successfully without Kobe Bryant. My answer was because even without Kobe, the Lakers still have two players that I'd rank in the top three of their position in the NBA (Bynum and Gasol) and there is only one other team (Miami) that can make that claim. So even without Bryant, the Lakers still hold a talent advantage on just about any team they play against. The interesting thing is that with Bryant, they are the only team with three such players and there is no reason they shouldn't dominate much more than they do. With that in mind, I wanted to solicit opinions on who you guys thought were the top five players at each position. Here's mine:
C A. Bynum D. Howard M. Gasol A. Bogut A. Jefferson PF D. Nowitzki K. Love P. Gasol B. Griffin J. Smith SF L. James K. Durant C. Anthony P. Pierce R. Gay PG C. Paul D. Rose R. Rondo R. Westbrook S. Nash SG K. Bryant D. Wade M. Ellis J. Harden J. Johnson
