Nice try, but way off on the analogy attempt.
Main point is that 4.5M number is some twisted spin. Embarassing actually.

The Republican Party has found itself on the outskirts now, on the verge of becoming a permanent minority party, because the RNC convention revealed it to be empty of actual policy, simply falling back on rancor, attack, insult, scare tactics and wanting to undo all the gains of the past 150 years. Useless.

Here Ezra Klein, a few days ago, explains how government lay-offs has killed job growth, and the good job growth we've had in the private sector past 4 years.

Quote:
The Washington Post’s Ezra Klein breaks down what the US economy might look like if government employment was at the same level as in previous recessions under Reagan and Bush 41. "If we hadn't lost public sector jobs, unemployment would be at 7.8 percent," he says.

It is more embarrassing when the actual number is that there are less people working today than when Obama took office when you include all jobs, not just the ones that the Democrats want to count and not selecting the best starting point (which was the lowest number of people working during the Obama administration) and comparing it to today. That is a fact.

It's not twisted at all. 4.5 million jobs were created. As we were 3.8 million down from where we should have been, due to the Bush recession and massive job loss during those eight years, yes, those jobs initially had to fill in that massive Bush loss, and now we are trying to keep building back upon it. Hardly spin. Everyone know we were in a financial collapse and massive recession, with 800,000 jobs a month loss at the end of the Bush term. That's no "secret" or "spin.

Of course they get credit for creating those jobs - especially in the face of complete governmental obstruction. Don't forget one political party chose and planned to throw the citizens of this country under the bus, in order to try and gain back power.

What nonsense. Of course it's not a good analogy I don't have to "manipulate" anything - the facts are what they are. I addressed public sector jobs in the other post - and yes, there is still an overall jobs gain, in spite of the Republican Governors massively decimating public sector jobs these past few years.

Any attempt to paint the Obama administration as "bad on jobs" is beyond factually absurd.

When you don't any facts, resorting to calling names works well for you. You demean yourself to that level frequently and readily. Sad, really.

You are the perfect representation of the current remnants of the Republican Party. Reading your posts is like watching the RNC undercard speakers. Hands over ears, yelling "get the Muslim!" and "austerity" and "God". Scare, fear, we are not really in control. The three platitudes of Republicanism today. That's all that's left of that party.

Oh, and here's a funny thing: the massive layoffs of public workers by Republican governors over the past 3 years was pointed out, and the GOP tried to refute it this past spring. In other words, the GOP were arguing that their layoffs of public sector workers did not hurt unemployment. Oh, those lying kids!

So, sorry - the GOP says the public sector is really fine. Well, at least they did last June!

Conservative Media Dismiss Government Worker Layoffs To Argue Public Sector Is Fine

Conservative media are downplaying the severity of public sector job cuts by trumpeting data showing that the unemployment rate among government workers in May was 4.2 percent. But that statistic doesn't change the fact that public sector job cuts in this recovery have been more severe compared with previous recoveries and experts contend these cuts not only threaten the recovering economy but also impact private sector job growth.

Do you ever get tired of me making a fool of you? The question is rhetorical so don't bother answering it.

No surprise with your typical response trying to paint anyone who disagrees with you as a raciest you disgusting pig. When have I ever said anything about Muslim's and God?

I don't fall for your manipulation of facts and B.S. charts that you take from lying liberal websites and increasingly neither is the public. Several posters have pointed out your lies.

Here are facts. There are less people working in the U.S. today than when Obama took office, plain and simple. Obama's Presidency has been a monumental failure and we only have a few months left of it. I don't care how much you try to manipulate facts, the more you do, the more of a fool you make of yourself. You are a joke and everything wrong with America.

Now I have to go back to work to pay for your diety's benefits to those who don't deserve the hard work I do for it. The gig is up.

Ah. Yes. I see. You're talking to the imaginary Riot with the imaginary opinions sitting in the empty chair.

That's right ... truth is lies, and facts are manipulation. Good luck with that! You sound quite a bit unbalanced.

Enjoy your next four Obama years of increasing economic prosperity, good health care, easier opportunity for education, and decreased energy costs.

I was worried about where this country was going, but after the first day of the Dem convention, with the implosion of the Republican Party, I have hope that the adults will retake that party control in four years, and the Dems will continue being aggressively proud of what they have accomplished.

There hasn't been one day under the Obama administration where the unempolyment number has been lower than the day Bush left office.

Until Obama, since the Great Depression, the deeper the recession the stronger the recovery. To make it even worse, this is the worst recovery in the last 65 years.

Which part of Obama's platform wii create jobs, Obamacare, corrupt spending for their big money pals, more regulation, higher taxes on small businesses, or illegal EPA regulations?

Obama had his chance, he is a complete failure in every possible way.

Danzig, where does the math work with Obama? Keep borrowing and spending? At least Romney and Ryan have guts to speak about entitlement reform.

By the way, I wonder why they moved Obama's speech from a 70,000 seat stadium to a 20,000 seat arena?? Smart people have stopped listening to his lies.

Yes, you are entirely correct

Riot is really starting to lose it, wait until the serial woman abuser Bill Clinton gives his self-serving speech. After that Bellevue may have to revoke Riot's computer privileges.

If they can't repeat snark and hate, they have nothing to say. That is why the GOP is floundering and failing. All snark, no substance. A party finally devoid of any ideas whatsoever for this country. Reince Priebus will probably be fired the moment this election cycle is over.

I'll bet not one of the Obama-haters in this forum have watched either convention.

They hold politics, not as policy, but as emotional fears of their imagination, fueled by what The Blaze, Erickson and Big Gov to tell them what to think.

The Dem evening has already begun. I doubt any of them are watching.

That you do not talk about the figures given, or refute them, reveals all. LOL. Trifecta. LOL

Hate, fear, God. It's the Republican Party 2012.

No solutions, no reality, just hate, fear and God. You are such a minority within this society, you hardly matter any more.

If Paul Ryan was not religious... or was religious and kept it to himself and really believed in seperation of church and state, I may really like the guy. He's an actual, true conservative.

Mitt Romney? eh, dont care for him.

Obama is just not made for this job.

Biden? Probably the worst of the four.

I wish a non religious Paul Ryan was running for President!

edit - what i really wish are people like Ron Paul or Gary Johnson had a real shot at winning.

The entire economic failure that began in 2008 was caused by a housing bubble caused by policies implemented by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd in the mid 1990's and pushed through by the Clinton administration. Ezra Klein is nothing more than an elistist liberal hack similar to most other "progressive" journalists. They make up the facts as they go along. People who make 50k a year have no business buying a 750k home. That is what was going on. Bush was a failure, but his letting us down has noe led to a left wing extremist being voted into the White House. Luckily, most people have caught on to the nonsensical **** that he has been pulling rather quickly. His healthcare plan is not only an epic failure, it was also illegal. No one know what is in the ****ing thing, yourself included. Please enjoy the coverage of the DNC tonight on MSNBC. You can listen to Al Sharpton and Chris Matthews opine all night.
