I will stick with "Shake Senora". Maybe because I have had that damn song stuck in my head for a solid week. I dare anyone to listen to it..."Jump in the saddle, hold on the bridle now..."

Think Star of the Trail is a solid name too.

I think "Star of the Trail" is a solid name, also.

I also like Steve's suggestion of "Adeela," just because it rolls off the tongue. Some of these names I have a hard time pronouncing. I try to imagine Tom Durkin or Trevor Denman calling them... With some of the names, I can't....

Some ideas:

Chuck's Luck

Silly Filly

(as you can tell, I like rhymes)

i just thought of another name, see what you guys think...

Io
she was the daughter of a river god, and was turned into a heifer by hera to keep her from being ravaged by zeus (good old hera and zeus, a match made in heaven)

at any rate, with aldebaran being a star in taurus, the bull, i remembered Io while trying to think of a way to tie in the taurus angle....

I like Steve Haskin's suggestion, Baraness, too.

I suggest all the names suggested be put on the blog voting site (or here if it can be done) for 24 hours or so, then take the top five finalists for another vote for the final name?

No offense to the four you selected, Scav, but there's other names suggested here I'd rather vote for.

Lil E. Tee was a long shot to live, let alone win the Ky. Derby. Loved him since I saw him win the Jim Beam in '92. Sale price of 2,000.00 turned out to be a bargain. Ya never Know...

Point Griten 85 or Fill-e-gal or Filly Finegler...None of which should be taken seriously, unless of course they strilke a fancy.
