For some odd reason? The two best races of his career came on wet turf courses..

Surprised that no one here has mentioned Majestic Warrior comes out of George Steinbrenner's barn.

Not that it makes a difference.

Solis has forgotten how to ride on the front end and will be over weight from the Depends he will have to wear if he does try to run out front.

Got about 3/4 inch overnight.... only a little more expected today...
could be "good" by racetime.... doubt it makes it to firm...

King of the Roxy has no Curlin, or Hard Spun in his race and at 6/1 m/l looks like the bet in the 4th. Euroears has looked good but this is probaly P;etchers best bet and longest odd horse of the day.

I am NOW off Grasshopper. You are right about his trip last time, and the fact is that there are multiple horses in this race that are technically faster then him (TG wise).

Brass Hat and Silver Lord are the plays IMO.

I guess he can't lose now.

The problem with the race is the lack of speed, which will obviously help Silver Lord, and hurt Brass Hat, but also it works in Grasshopper's favor as he can stalk Silver Lord and he is a solid grinder type.

Honestly, and maybe I just have no feel for these races, I couldn't make a solid case for anyone ouside the favorites in the four stakes I looked at.

With the torrential rain in NY, it was absolutely pouring tonight, tomorrow feels like pretty much a pass for me.

CAN'T LOSE, so true....

IMO, Proudinsky is worth a play. I am telling ya, they are going to pound Daytona and Solis will **** it up.

If I worried about jockeys screwing it up when I bet I would never bet. People will blame Solis if Daytona loses but I highly doubt he will have anything to do with it.

You may be right Pillow.....but I can't see any bombs so if they win I won't have them.

I went to the fairgrounds website and the track is listed as good and the turf course is listed as OFF.

It is gonna be a wait and see kinda day. I imagine the track will be changing after every other race. Also imagine the turf horses will scratch

shorter fields and shorter prices... not too excited about the day.

Yesterday's track conditions are still up on the website. They usually update it around 10:30-11:00 CST.

LA Derby

My Pal Charlie looks interesting. This will definately be his toughest test (by far), but he has won the last 2 around 2 turns and looks to be moving up the scale form-wise. 20/1 ML doens't hurt matters, either.

Can't play Yankee Bravo. First start on a traditional dirt surface against this field doesn't turn me on.

J Be K is intriging, but I'll stay away. The "1st time around 2 turns" angle ranks high in my book. If he beats me, then he beats me.

I really wish Tale Of Ekati and Majestic Warrior had one race before this one.

I'll box Pyro and My Pal Charlie in the exacta.

Go ahead and buy the Pyro- MPC exacta straight. 3-2.
Because anyone can run 2nd in a rasce when you have a stand-out like pyro.

I'll book the MPC- Pyro exacta for as much as you want. 2-3

I thought about Pyro - MPC straight, but there is just something about MPC that caught my eye. I'm going to stick to playing it both ways.

I'll pass on your offer. Thanks anyway.
