Just for chuckles, why don't you add up the decades of support that the US has given to almost every country on earth, and then weigh it against the condemnation we receive from the impotent UN, and every other mouse that has it's mouth yapping and hand out for aid! Its a sickening thought!

Yeah, we're the big dog. So what? No dispute there.

"Sickening"?? Clearly your attitude is, screw everyone else in the world, friends and allies included.

There comes a time when circumstances dictate that you walk alone...but our govt doesn't have the guts to do it anyway. My attitude is if giving aid to the world isn't working out for us.....then we need to help our own. Clearly, there are many needs in our country that should be addressed soon.

it's a rhetorical question.

i hope.

btw: the "honduran people" that removed him from office is actually the same 25 families that have run the country the last 100 years. and the same 25 families that put him in power.

they made a mistake and took out the knife to cure the problem.
Better than Venezuela II. Dont play it like this was some chaotic military scene. The guy was a bad guy who needed to go before he used that same military to protect his new dictatorship.

I think the next thing the far right ultra-con crazies have to screech about is what Obama is going to do with the $1.4 million he recieved from the Nobel committee, that he is going to give to charity. No way he'll win with this.

If he gives it to international charities, he will be crucified for putting aid to foreign needs above starving Americans (you know, like folks still homeless from Katrina ...)

If any international charity recipient does work in Africa or a Muslim country, I think Rush Limbaugh may physically, actually explode, and the birthers will say, "I told you so".

If Obama divvies it up to American domestic charities, he can be pilliored for violating and insulting the world-wide, international scope of the Nobel award.

And any American charity recipients, of course, will be tied, by six degrees Kevin Bacon, to Acorn.
I just dont understand w=where you come up with this stuff? How does that question which is a legit question. You can be partners in an international coalition AND an isolationist country. But somehow I have made your point for you? By asking a question? Arent there rules on a sitting President taking money or gifts? Just asking.

I dont see where he said anything about screwing our allies. That is Obama's mode. See Poland and Israel.

Also: every year the prize is given, I wonder: when will the U.S. soldier win the Nobel Peace Prize? No individual (or individual unit of men) has freed more people in history than has the United States soldier.
The Nobel peace prize is a booby prize.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091013/...el_peace_obama

Jagland singled out Obama's efforts to heal the divide between the West and the Muslim world and scale down a Bush-era proposal for an anti-missile shield in Europe.
"All these things have contributed to — I wouldn't say a safer world — but a world with less tension," Jagland said by phone from Strasbourg, where he was attending meetings in his other role as secretary-general of the Council of Europe.
Aagot Valle, a left-wing Norwegian politician who joined the Nobel panel this year, also dismissed suggestions that the decision to award Obama was without merit.

So missile defense is now a bad thing?

Left wing Norwegian politician's need to remember who protects them from the big, bad wolves of the world.

The left-leaning committee whose members are appointed by the Norwegian Parliament lauded the change in global mood wrought by Obama's calls for peace and cooperation, and praised his pledges to reduce the world stock of nuclear arms, ease U.S. conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthen the country's role in combating climate change

Pretty ironic for a guy who is the leader of a country involved with 2 wars with Muslim countries.

And I still dont know how exactly "climate change" has anything to do with peace.

Blame the US military, not Obama. Our military are the ones advising Obama to drop it, and shift emphasis on other shortrange missile defense.

No, the military has objected since Bush-Cheney.

Obama listened to the military commanders when he gave the order to kill the pirate hijackers.

Ah, the insult you posted to him did not lay in the word liberal.

But of course, you know that, and are only being disingenuous.

Oh no, an insult!

Typical response from a hateful liberal. You must be watching too much MSNBC....Al Gore is an idiot....the NY Times is a rag....brainwashed by Daily Kos...

Isnt that your usual anti-conservative response with a liberal take?

You are a great example regarding the veracity of that, "conservatives are tolerant-of-all-others and liberals are not" silly list you posted

See there you go again. While you may not like it, that silly list is full of (pardon me Al Gore) inconvenient truth.

At least you are caucusing with the Liberals now.
