When I read your original post this AM, it really bothered me. I know nothing of the owner/trainer, but at least on the surface it all seemed rather . . . unseemly.

Checking back on the board a short while ago I was stunned to see 3 pages, and thought to myself, WoW! This story sure has gotten a lot of attention! I have to see what everyone was able to find out about it. But instead . . .

Hopefully the newfound attention on Andrew Davidovich and Violet Eyed Diva will pay off for her.
I hope so.

I don't know if you remember Alpena Magic... the 17 year old horse who was entered at Ellis a couple of years back?

I think the horsie boards had something to do with all the negative press and within a few days he was scratched, bought by the owner of Ellis, retired and made an Ambassador for the ractrack.

Here's hoping this old girl will have a similar fate.

Maybe destroyed is a bit strong, but I am confident he would beat anyone in training right now at 10f on dirt.

I am extremely confident that there are no races that currently fit that bill till the Fall so I will continue to not care.

I'm starting to realize that a Zenyatta fleshlight would be a big seller.

Some consider the Pacific Classic to be the big Summer race.

She'll be in the barn for that one too if it matters.

I am not a synthetic track basher, I accept it as part of the game... Lets compare the last 4 Pacific Classics to the last 4 Whitneys and then talk about what races produced more important horses moving forward....

THANKS COACH

I, also was interested in seeing what was up with racing a horse after that long of a layoff. Instead got more crap about whos the best . Starting to notice that everything on this forum ends up being about certain horses only.

MMSC -

I thought you liked Chips Are Down once upon a time...in case you did not see (which is very unlikely!) he is entered in the 2nd at Monmouth on Friday. I didn't know he was put back in training last year. The note on pedigreequery reads:

Retired to Godstone Farm, Pine Grove PA. Returned to training 2009 after being bred to 17 mares at Godstone. Current owner: Ron Perozzi.
updated Nov 2009

He is listed in the Stallion Register as having a 2K fee for 2010.

Oh no I didn't see this and I'm so glad you told me!!!!! I really am!

I think I've actually deleted three horses from my VS (him, Da Stoops and Don't Get Mad. Don't ask me why I remember that).

Nice to see that name again!

Thanks! (Good memory).
