And he will be punished for it.
We just fundamentally disagree on the human condition...correct me if I'm wrong. I believe that humans, for the most part, are lousy and beyond changing. You seem to believe that this can change and expect the best out of everyone. Well it would be nice. I'd like to live like a polygamist without the religion and inbreeding but realize it's never going to happen...just like humans will never be truly civilized. |

Here's what MoveOn.org does: They dress up like businessmen and hold up signs. They don't yell, don't provoke, they are completely passive. The woman was holding the "Rand Paul Employee of The Month" sign.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/moveon/...44709765/show/ This showed these Rand Paul supporters involved in KY for exactly what they are - intolerant, physically violent losers. Wearing "Don't Tread On Me" stickers. Hypocritical morons who talk one story about liberty and freedom, yet physically assault a passive woman holding a sign they don't like at a public rally. The conversation should be about how much people like Sharron Angle and Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck should take responsibility for ginning up the base to physical violence and "Second Amendment Remedies" if the democratic political process doesn't turn out the way they want.

This is looking worse all the time. Here's the Rand Paul campaign worker, Tim Profitt, who stomped her in the head.
The Daily News is reporting he is the Rand Paul Bourbon Country campaign coordinator, and he was fired from that position today. And it now starts to look like it was deliberate and premeditated. He's blaming the police for not preventing it. Because he says they already knew the woman, and all about MoveOn, and they didn't like her at the rallies, what she does, etc (the politics) And yes charges have been filed. Here's the article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/1..._n_774285.html Quote:

But I know for a fact that there are actually also people out there who believe in the absolutely audacious idea that even if people hate each other, they shouldn't hit, rape, kill, or injure one another. It's a tough thing to manage to be decent...even when decent is defined in the most narrow way to just mean don't physically hurt other people. Offensive and totally outrageous ideas from the fringe of basic human decency, I know, and I'm sorry for having put you through the trouble of reading them when I could've just been saying the not simple and not dense ideas of "oh, he stepped on her head? Well he didn't kill her! And she was wearing a wig and trying to get a picture -- the human condition says that this makes perfect sense and she totally deserved it!!11!1!" Jesus H. |

They are two s.hitheads trying to one up each other. Sort of like what we're doing but on a much more primitive level. I assure you there are many people like Tim in Chicago who have little patience with provokers. It's not exclusive to Kentucky. Quote:

Didn't realize you started caring about honest paraphrasing in the last hour. Neat how that works.
Though I am starting to get the hang of this thing you're doing -- it seems as if people believe the way you do, they'll view it as a free pass to be jerks towards other people in their day to day routine and never fear any consequences or have to take responsibility. Perhaps Tim also feels the same way. If you go through life assuming all people are bad, all people are potentially violent, and all people have no goodwill to offer and no ability to restrain themselves from hurting other people -- then what's the point in even trying to act like a decent human being to other people, right? I mean, they're all pitiful, bad, nasty, violent creatures anyway, so there's no point in being any different because they're going to do what they do anyway, so just even bothering to have a bare minimum of basic decency towards each other is a totally futile endeavor. That's certainly not the world I live in. Then again, I'm not a violent pent-up anger ball waiting to explode and hurt other people like Tim and his apologists, but thanks for opening my eyes that the rest of the world views it this way and would punch me in the face for daring to believe otherwise. Strange that I don't really ever experience this as a matter of course in my day to day life considering how sure you are that it's just how the world works dictated by the human condition and having just given up on bothering to be any better than it. |

So because most people are lousy it's ok to be as well? That's novel. How about just having some basic awareness that putting on a wig, making a sign with glitter and markers, traveling to another state and trying to harass a politician for selfish reasons could lead to a situation that might get completely out of hand. Where was her decency? Quote:

I always appreciate your good-faith attitude that you have when talking to other people. It's rather refreshing. Have a good night. Wait, was saying have a good night too close to Polyanna for you and the rest of the dangerous, violent society? Should I double lock my doors so nobody blasts in and punches me in the face for it? Jeez, you've got me on edge now thinking that my general good faith in people is going to get me punched just for being nice! |

After reading the moveon womans' account of the events, it looks like both parties are at fault.
In no way could it seem like it is premeditated (the pushing her to the ground thing). You can tell by the description exactly what both sides intention were. The move on bitc.h had one purpose.. and it wasnt innocent. Her goal was to be as close to Paul as possible and get a picture of him with her stupid sign in the background so she could use it as propaganda. Once the dumb-ass Paul supporters saw her, they knew exactly what her intent was. They did not agree with her purpose and wanted to stop it. So they did a non-violent act and stood infront of her when Paul drove up so she couldnt get her dumb sign in the picture. She, being a crazy bitc.h like it seems she is (only crazy bitc.hes travel around the country with stupid signs), she decides to highten the situation and run around the people who stood in front of her to block the sign.. and run in the direction of Paul. If she would have just stayed where she was, and didnt run around towards Rand Paul, I would bet a lot of $ she would have not been pushed to the ground. So then the dumbass Paul supporters take off after the crazy bitc.h & the rest is history. No man ever has the right push a woman to the ground, & there is no doubt that those few Paul supporters were dumbasses. But the moveon bitc.h is certainly no way innocent. She provoked the incident and ususally when people take off running towards a politician they end up on the ground. Both parties involved are epic failures.

Update to this story - there is now another video showing this lady shoving her sign into Rand's car window right before she was taken down...

Violence isn't the solution to problems, it just adds to the problem. I guess human beings feel that violence is a solution to problems without thinking what the repurcussions might be.
