The previous fall at Arlington for the BC Turf on yielding ground, he put up similar fractions of :51:1, 1:17, 2:05:4, but was passed late by High Chaparral and two others to be fourth in 2:30. On firm at Hollywood in May 03, he set the pace in :49:1, 1:13:1, 1:59:4, then stopped to a walk to finish beaten 14 lengths.

I love The Tin Man for his tenacity and consistency, however 12f is beyond his scope against top horses. If the BC Turf were 10f, he'd be a top contender, but it isn't, so I will be opposing him if he starts.
you bring up good points(and evidence) on the distance issue,
but there is a real class issue that exists as well.

12f, 10f, 8f, whatever..........he is not going to beat the type of turf horses we saw today in the Arc.
he simply has never measured up to those types of turf horses.

But if you really think that barely hanging on agaisnt those horses after cutting a soft pace(but nowhere near as soft a pace as he set in the Million) makes him a legitmate BC Turf contender, well, then we will just have to strongly disagree.

thats putting it nicely.

I sure hope he shows in the BC though.
always good to have stupid money in the pool for these BC turf races.

Go f*ck yourself (to quote our mongoloid Vice Pres).

I don't like him because he's old....

You don't care about horses/peoples well being , but you still reserve the right to love/hate them? Is that some sort of Neo-nihilisim? Sounds like a lot of work for not caring.
