Looks like it isn't going to matter, I think they're done for the night... I think the jocks are complaining about the track again... remember when they cancelled races earlier in the season to work on the track... minor league tracks

This kind of stuff never happens at Bay Meadows

Hooves, do you look at Aquaduct? If so, what do you think of Gem Road tomorrow in the 9th? The horse is on my watch list but I'm not sure if she's a play tomorrow

They run 7 races and now they I have problem with track condition.
Looks like a couple jockeys might be refusing to ride and they can't
find riders for these horses

Looks like Ozzie doesn't want to ride... that's not a good sign

What the H*LL Mountaineer - one minute I'm listening to Mark & Nancy chat about the upcoming race then "Attention, the 9th race has been cancelled" and they shut everything down... not even a polite "good night"... Bush League

They say she walked off to the jock room on her own...

I love this track but I hate the condition of it... can they not afford to pay a good superintendant to maintain the track? They've got to be making good $$$ from the slots.

On another note - why is Villa-Gomez not riding? Does he think the track is too crappy to ride on?

The track has been having some "maintenance issues"... do you play Mountaineer often? What tracks do you like?

Welcome to DerbyTrail, you'll learn a lot here... I sure have.

DC,
You would think they would try to hire the best track superintendent they can find. I follow Delaware Park a lot last year they had a problem like this in June 2005 on a Sunday. They canceled halfway in the card. They fired the track maintenance guy on the spot. They hired a new guy, he decided not to
run on Monday and he had jockeys out to tell what parts of the track needed
work. That Monday the worked on the track and never had a problem since
and never had to cancel a day since except for extreme heat and heavy rain.

HVG might have moved his tack to Tampa Bay Downs. The Terror of Tampa
should know this answer.

DC,
Love there turf racing at TB and plus it's great wagering opportunities with
horses coming in from many different tracks. There 7 furlong races are also great betting affairs. This meet and Oaklawn are the 2 meets a look forward to in the winter.
