Indeed.

Todd Beattie isn't doing much better. Besides a winning first time starters - he's been blanked.

I want to thank Miss Storm Cat for starting what turned into a most entertaining thread. Super Frolic was an extremely admirable horse who surely deserved a better end, and the same could be said for many horses and people in this game, and at least this thread offered us all some humor to help make it through this brutal game. Speaking of brutal games, CJ, I just got home from the Os game. Did I really need to watch that for four hours?

It also allowed DrugS yet another opportunity to redboard. But, then again, what thread doesn't.

The previous day, my top pick and day's best won - but only paid $23.00

I don't even know the score. I think there is a rule that all Yanks/O's games last four hours. If only the season were that long.

At least he didn't mention Street Sense or Discreet Cat, so we've got that to be thankful for this fine morning.

That's pretty hardcore. So if you care about the horses you bet on your not real?

Guess I'm not a real bettor either, although there would be others to tell you differently.

Seems like we're all *drinking* now. I'm copying *Suzanne*.
Nah, that's not what he meant by that at all. I just don't take the gambling aspect of it as serious as most do on here. I enjoy putting a few bucks on the horses when I feel strongly about one, but that's about it. Shoot, it's embarrassing, but the only times of the year I spend more than $100 on a race day is during the Triple Crown and Breeders Cup.

The Yanks were up 8-4 with two outs in the 9th and two Os on....and the Yanks brought in Mariano. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the worst pitcher in the league, Os relievers not included, be over 99% to hold that lead?

I hope BBB is on the staff. His post a few pages back was classic. He is just glad he can take money at the windows from all those that don't care about horses. What a true ambassador of the game.

Hell, I'd be 93%. The Notre Dame QB would get the out 9 out of 10 times.

Great post, and so true. This could have so easily been a story about FunnyCide instead of Super Frolic. You're correct, it's not a good story for the sport. I'm not familiar with Super Frolic's breeding, but it is a shame that *so* () many breeders overlooked his soundness/hardiness that he wasn't even allowed to stand *one* season.?? Give me a break! I'm sad for the future of the sport.

Do they even have a newspaper?

No idea.

You can only find the racing stuff in the hardcopy. Which is great when I have a duck - like tonight. But sucks when I'm doing awesome.

They hate the new Tapeta surface up there and refuse to cover the meeting.

I found him rather amusing most of the time, other times your right he WAS a very bad man.
I think you should start a devil thread in his honor.
If the predator is revived, I'll send you a good one for the avatar.
I probably shouldn't have suggested he be in the angel thread, please refrain from being bad on our drinking party games.

Oh and Suzanne, he came out of retirement because he was small and did not generate alot of interest.

"great post" and "dumbest post" comments in one thread.

I feel like Preston Wilson. And not cuz my uncle is my dad.
