Precisionist retired for awhile and came back after a long layoff to have some pretty decent success and didn't die.

Gregs Gold had stem cells used to help heal his tendon. Some times it's not just hay, oats, water, and work them till they cant run anymore. The way I understand it is that Lava Man is showing the most improvement from the stem cell therapy and everyone involved is egar to see at what level he can comeback at and if the horse is willing,,,,,,,,,,,, I just dont see a problem.

If you aren't in the business, you don't know what you are talking about.

Well you obviously dont. Only an idiot or someone who is severely misinformed would say that age has nothing to do with the physical condition of a horse. And I would be glad to spar with you over knowledge of horses anytime you would like. You see because I have 25 years experience dealing with horses and you have google.

Aren't Bowed Tendons fairly serious especially on aged geldings?
I will repeat, The Tin Man is lucky to be alive. You figure it out. And horses dont die from bowed tendons unless their owners put them down.

I don't believe that I said that age has nothing to do with physical condition. What I said was that not all horses that are the same age have the same amount of wear and tear on their bodies. You can't just throw out a blanket statement that he's nine so therefore he's got age specific issues or injuries. Each horse, just like each athlete, is an individual.

ok fine. Then the Lava Man would be similar to Sandy Koufax in human terms. There are lots of things that could be done to Koufax that could have kept him pitching but he is now in his 70's so they arent trying to bring him back anymore. And he may even be a gelding too.

Yeah because we have other examples of 70 year olds that can still pitch. That's logical. There are no examples of 9yos that continue to race though. Great analogy.

So if I am understanding you correctly HOF trainer, legendary conditioner, Richard Mandella, knowningly raced a horse that was part of his barn and personna, with an ailment that should have killed the horse. Well if this is true and I have no reason to think you are lying, there is no hope for horse racing. If one of the most respected trainers in the industry is willing to have the blood of a beloved horse on his hands then what should the public expect from run of the mill juicers trying to pay bills?

You dont seem to deal very well with them. There are 2 sides of the ladder one goes up and the other goes down. Playing as a trainer and having sucess are two different things.

I dont play myself off to be anything other that a gambler and have owned some horses that raced in California during the mid 80's.
