This is really clear to me now

2000 Penn State 5-6
2001 Penn State 5-7

It is public knowledge that they wanted him to retire at this point
and there was no way they could fire Joe PA

March 1, 2002 – A Penn State graduate assistant enters the locker room at the Lasch Football Building. In the showers, he sees a naked boy, known as Victim 2, whose age he estimates to be 10 years old, being subjected to anal intercourse by a naked Sandusky. The graduate assistant tells his father immediately.

March 2, 2002 – In the morning, the graduate assistant calls Coach Joe Paterno and goes to Paterno's home, where he reports what he has seen.

March 3, 2002 – Paterno calls Tim Curley, Penn State Athletic Director to his home the next day and reports a version of what the grad assistant had said.

If he follows up and goes to the cops it gives the administration fuel to press him to retire or fire him.

Maybe you were too stupid at 18 or 19 to realize that enabling pedophiles is sick but not all of us were.

Just from the football point of view the guy has not won a National Championship since before I was born. His teams are always ranked but always overrated because of the name attached to it. When was the last really good team they had at Penn St? It was sad seeing an old man and his wife on the porch last night, even I felt a little bit bad. He deserved to be fired though, now he should just fall back and live the rest of his life peacefully.

2008 was the only team that had a National Championship shot. They managed to blow a game as 14.5 point road favorites.

2010 they lost to every ranked team they played. Alabama, Iowa, Ohio St and Michigan St. They were blown out of 3 of those games and also blown out at unranked Illinois. Like I said they were not that good, but living off the past with high rankings.

2009 they lost to Iowa at home week 4. Basicley ending any National Championship chance. They also lost to Ohio St again. Nothing wrong with the year they had, but they were out of the National Championship race early on.

2008 I cant argue much here. They had a nice team this year, but once again find a way to blow a game at Iowa. I tryed looking it up, and Im pretty sure they were a 14.5 point road favorite.

This year... I dont think anyone would argue that the Big 10 is not down. Ohio St is rebuilding, Wisconsin was supposed to be good and they have blown 2 games. Penn St has played 1 ranked team and they could not move the ball at all, they looked like a high school team. They are the most fortunate 8-1 team EVER. They have stuggled with Temple, Indiana, Iowa, Purdue and Illinois... Everyone of those teams sucks. Now I get they might be able to rally because of the Joe Pa situation, but they are very likely to finish off 0-3. The thing that might save them from going 0-3 is that like I said earlier the Big 10 is down. Nebraska and Ohio St are not that good. Ill say very best case for them is 1-2 if they beat Nebraska in Happy Valley.

Dude without a true playoff system National Championships are a joke. "When was the last really good team " 11-2 won't get you fired anywhere.

Yeah, it's horrible of me to think that everyone out in the State College streets last night is not a despicable human being with no potential or future. Maybe I'll start posting in the paddock more. I saw my school called a cesspool. I simply disagreed and made some ironic points. The facts are you really don't know a single thing about me personally. It's a freaking message board.

HE DID NOTHING TO STOP SANDUSKY.

"Silly" can describe a lot of college-age antics, but wanting Paterno to continue coaching after what happened this week is depraved.
Lots of things are depraved. We are trained to worship elites. I stated flat out paterno should be fired immediately as well as Spanier. Then man was a legend and a huge part of the university for 61 years. Gee, some disagreed with my opinion, many of them 19 year olds. No, you should not riot and a few did damage to the city and property. That is bad. The overwhelming majority did not.

We once had a presidential administration knowingly lie to get us into a war that has killed multiple thousands of human beings...including multiple thousands of Americans. They set up a world wide torture ring, knowlingly and proudly. There isn't a bit of outrage or anything. They walk around smiling and on TV most of the time. The facts are the majority of people in this country accept the torture of other human beings as a good thing, and we all think it's fine. Our current administration summarily executes US Citizens and no one blinks an eye. The last two administrations put people in gulags for "indefinite detention" forever if they so desire. No one blinks an eye. What went on at Penn State was depraved without question and is despicable up and down the chain. It does not make the place I attended college a cess pool. Just like I don't think the United States is a cess pool despite the last two administrations doing depraved things. So yeah, let's express outrage at several hundred 18 and 19 year old Penn State students protesting a firing of a legend. That's what's really important. AGain, I think their opinion is flat wrong but I certainly understand it.

So some 19 year old thinking Paterno shouldn't be fired is far down on my list of depraved things going on in this world. People have a right to express dismay at the Paterno firing although they shouldn't damage property doing it. I don't agree with their opinion but they certainly have a right to have it...thinking Paterno should not have been fired.

I'm sorry, how many of those 18 and 19 year old kids "rioting" were enabling pedophiles?? Maybe I was too stupid. I assure you that you did not know me at 18 or 19 nor do you know me now. You have a rightly high opinion of yourself which is good. It was really, really bad what happened. I agree with everyone on that. I simply understand people defending Paterno. the facts are he was not pure and complete evil for all 61 years at the University I attended and was well liked for the most part.

There is NO defending him. Anyone who is defending him is sick.

As for Clyde, to answer your question, I'm obviously not a pathetic prick like yourself.

You have no bearing on the disgraceful behavior of the students last night. They are college age kids who rioted over a football coach deservedly being fired. Acting like this is ok because people do stupid things when they are in college is stupid. The facts are very simple. Paterno is a egotistical scumbag who put his "legacy" in front of protecting young children from being molested. The university was being run by criminals. A signifigant section of the student body are ignorant morons who deserve the scorn that is being thrust on them. The football program is destroyed and should be disbanded. Your school just moved to the head of the "most hated" team moving ahead of the U and Duke. The entire University will be tainted for a long time.

Or you can pretend that everything is cool in State College.

You are a pathetic excuse for a human being. A waste of space, blood and skin. A living breathing tumor. The world will be better when you are six feet under.
