I also know a few people that are going to buy a yearling soon and try and call it "My Face"

In the early 90's there was a stakes filly in Florida.

She was trained by Oliver "Buddy" Edwards.

When Buddy would come home after a long day his 5 year old daughter Courtney would rush into his arms welcoming him home.

Just to be silly and make her laugh Buddy would make up a different name for her and greet her by saying. "Hello Alice" or the next day "Hello Sam"

Each time he said this he'd be admonished with the statement.

" No Me Courtney"

That became Nomecourtney.
