It's just more of the " I know better than you even though I know nothing " that has made for some laughs but is tiresome.

I understand. It took me a long time to realize why it annoyed serious horseplayers when I pestered them with my know-it-all attitude as a little kid. Eagerness to learn is great. Lecturing those that know significantly more than you about even the things they claim to know little about is boorish and tiresome.

One of the reasons this is the world's greatest game is that there is so much to learn that we easily get confused when as novices we think we know a lot, and we do, but it is still just the tip of the iceberg.

You get a top notch operation when you hire Todd. You get accessability and a trainer that is highly attuned to what's going on. Blaming Todd for the course of this horse is naive, and I'm not doing that, as it is often the owner that forces a more aggressive path. We rarely know what goes on behind the scenes ( and those of us that do are unlikely to repeat them here ).

I don't disagree that smaller outfits, with good trainers, may be more beneficial in certain situations. But, I will disagree with anyone that says Todd Pletcher doesn't run a very good operation. The guy is very smart and he, along with his assistants, know very well what they are doing.

that should change. the partnership had owners with their own silks, so they took turns in each race. but now just two owners, with jackson the majority owner.

Who does he look like, and who is he built like?

Just because he is built like him and looks similar to him in that picture does not mean he is him.
