@DRFGrening: Jack Knowlton owner of Tiz the Law on why he doesn't want to run in BC. "One, shipping across country with a young horse going a mile and a sixteenth around two turns for the first time against the top, top competition and quite honestly still some concerns about that racetrack."

@DRFGrening: The winners of the last 8 BC Juveniles held at Santa Anita combined to win 6 of 27 starts the rest of their careers including 2 Grade 1 wins..

And what are the records of the last 8 BC juvenile winners from other venues? Not good either I’m sure.

Street Sense would carry that group I’m guessing.

Actually, the last 8 from non-SA Cup venues are 39/15-9-3 with 2 Kentucky Derby wins, a Haskell, Travers, SA Derby, Blue Grass, et al..

Game Winner (CD): 4/1-2-0
Good Magic (DMR): 6/2-1-1
Nyquist (KEE): 6/3-0-1
Hansen (CD): 6/2-2-0

Green Light Go won't run in Juvenile; Getting a light freshening..\

Both fields appear pretty firm with 8 & 9..

Is Lasix allowed for the Juvenile races? I know there was a lot of talk about a ban earlier in the year and quite frankly I grew tired of following what was going on out there.

Exclamation Maxfield a Juvy SCR
GRENING: Maxfield out of BC Juvenile

Maxfield will be scratched from Friday’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, trainer Brendan Walsh said Tursday.

“He’s off in his right front,” said Walsh, who said the exact nature of the issue is not clear.

Maxfield, owned by Godolphin Racing, was 2 for 2 including an eye catching victory in the Grade 1 Breeders Futurity at Keeneland.

The hits keep on coming. Lots of horses with good chances not able to run. Sport is brutal at times.
