If the last two races don't demonstrate what a monumental joke the Gulfstream stewards are, I don't know what does.
I would love to hear the stewards explanation for the two calls and somehow justify the consistency in those explanations. |

I completely agree. Thought it was a foregone conclusion they would DQ the 8 in the last race after putting up the 5 horse in the FOY. Would love to hear an explanation. Based on their call in the FOY, the call in the last race seemed simple. I guess in any sport the officiating can be inconsistent. This just seemed blatant. Maybe I'm just being biased since I had a lot riding on the 7 in the last...

DQ aside, it sounds as if many are down on Upstart's performance. Wasn't the track rather tiring today? It wasn't his best performance, but I personally won't hold it against him moving forward. I still think he is one of the top 3yos.
Sounds like they are headed to NY next.

At least that's the best explanation I can come up with for this horrendous Tweet from Steve.... Steve Byk @Steve_Byk 2h2 hours ago South Carolina, USA Nothing more amusing on this medium than those that would be petrified sitting on a pony, offering sage insight on professional race riding.
