New Jersey + OTB sites =NOT PERFECT TOGETHER
Does ANYONE have any ideas when this ""gambling"" state will get off its
big fat rearends and finally open some sites ??? Unless you go to AC casino's or the FEW racetracks in the state you have to seak out some overseas internet sites to place a bet. What a JOKE this has become. Not everyone plays a ""mindless"" slot machine. Ok time for me to get OFF my soapbox. |

You're right in being upset,Bill. I would say, with the amount of crooked politicians in Jersey mixed with the lure of expensive licenses to open an OTB and the way they can diddle around with the handle to get more in their pockets and their cronies.........I'm thinking 2008, give or take some high-profile indictments.

So you say 2008 ?... Lets see I've seen in Print (newspapers) that the first one was going to be open for the Triple Crown 2006.. [ THAT passed right ?]
I only wonder IF.. I'll live Long enought to see ONE open... But if SOME [ NORTH JERSEY ] Sports team needs a NEW STADIUM... They find time to get that done....... I guess TWO leg professionals are MORE important then FOUR leg professionals ? Ok...back off my soapbox !! |

You would think that they would try and be open for 2006 breeders cup.. let alone in 2007 in THIS STATE..... But Im sure the governer is more worried about raising the sales tax... While the betters go to another state, the shoppers will cross the Delaware bridge and purchase goods for NO sales tax.
Maybe the tourism should have a new campain. ""The best thing about New Jersey is leaving "" [food for thought]
