Shared Legacy
Full brother of Shared Belief, $1.9 mil RNA as a yearling, finished last in his first race out of 11 horses. The chart just says "showed little."
Well that's depressing. I was hoping he'd do better than his work pattern suggested. He must've looked phenomenal as a yearling. Just being a full sibling to a big horse doesn't get you into 7 figures on its own, e.g. Samantha Nicole and her sesamoiditis that Barbara Banke decided to overlook. I heard he showed promise last year and got sidelined. Wouldn't be the first to have that happen and never really be heard from on the track when/if they even make it. The crock of it is, he has the family and might've had the talent at some point to pass on, but it'd be hard to get him to stud if he's doing stuff like this. Incidentally, the winner of the race was Honest Mischief, by Into Mischief out of Honest Lady. Not bad DNA there. First Defence pops up again, his half brother breaking his maiden in addition to Tacitus winning the Wood. |
