Default Met Mile/Shoemaker

Looks like 2 great fields

Got Bandini going off at 5/2, think he will drop any especially with Greeley in it too

Also what do you all think about the Wisp in the Shoemaker?? Great Early Speed think anyone could catch him in a mile??? Aragorn?? Charmo

I'm not big on Bandini in here. Think he's an underlay no matter what. Don't like the comeback in wraps either. This is a race Pletcher seems to do poorly in every year.

I wouldn't try to beat Charmo.Horse was much better after he gave him a rest(or whatever he did before he took him up north for that race....he was a monster that day..much sharper than at Anita.)

I would key Silver Train everywhere here

Mass Media - Should still be retired
Sun King - Ran monsterous last out, will bounce back to his normal '2' ish
Bandini - Hard to toss becuase of Pletcher factor but looks 2nd/3rd best
Silver Train - SPECIFICALLY set up for this, runs his eye balls out here
Wilko - I think this distance is perfect for him, but won't beat ST
New York Hero - Slow compared to others, has good rider/trainer, possible 3rd place
Sir Greeley - Ran MONSTEROUS last out and will bounce off that effort

Silver Train over Wilko, Sir Greeley over Wilko, Sir Greeley, Bandini, NY Hero

Default The Shoemaker/ I must be missing something

Occasionally I see a race where I think folks try to outthink themselves and make things overcomplicated.
On the Tg sheets the competitors in the Shoemaker appear to be well matched. With a slight number edge to Silent Name. The thing is, since Silent name has tactical speed, he should be on or near the lead and saving ground with a moderate pace. The others are realy at his mercy, and if he fires they will be hard pressed to catch him. Its also his 3rd race in teh form cycle. Since he figures to be the "2nd speed" and stalk Willow O Wisp(who is just a notch below these on figures) I really think hes the winner here. H also fits the deadly 3rd start in the form cycle pattern.
The only horse I will save with will be Charmo in pik-'s. I think that Silent Name looks very damn good and hes not really being given teh respect he deserves yet, I have a feeing that after today he will be given more.

I like Milk It Mick quite a bit here. Anything over 3-1 and I'll bet him.

In The Shoemaker I have Aragorn on top and 2nd in my tri. I really like this horse and hope the betting public lets it slide to say 5-1 or 6-1 and he wins. On 10/15/05 in the Oak Tree he beat Eastern Sand at 1 1/8th, then has a long winter off and comes back twice to run second, close seconds. Third off the layoff, Drysdale, nice figures and C Nak up point me in this direction. My ticket is

Charmo and Aragorn / " " and Silent Name / " " " Milk It Mick and Willow O Wisp

Diamond Green, I am not sold on and will probably bust my tri but we shall see
