Santa Anita $5,000 Showvivor starts December 26
showvivor.santaanita.com
Same rules as the last edition, with five different ways to win, contest runs through April 9. We've had some close calls here, it's time somebody here got the big one! Good luck! |

Lipwrecked82 off to an okay start with Classic Ruler!
Props to those that had Constellation and the 2-3 other horses that were tough to pull the trigger on, but paid off. First Showvivor in about 3 years for me. Went pretty deep before than BUSTO, which probably explains my absence recently. BOL fellas!

Caught link on Twitter and thought I'd try again. Been away so long I had to create new registration. Now, it is five contests.
Got one in a row covered with Sharp Azteca! Good luck to all.

Race 3
#12 Kenzou's Rhythm, $16 to show Good luck! I started a $10 show parlay Monday, even though I forgot to mention it, but is it really a redboard if you only win $6? So hence the odd bet for today. Today looks very tough and if I had a long streak going I would probably pass, but since it is only at one I will take a shot today. Out of 3,159 players who made picks on Monday, only 1,466 were successful, or less than half. But it is way too early to give up if you missed on day one, I would put the over/under on the winning show streak at 31, considering the new format of not allowing picks in short fields. I counted 60 racing days in the contest period, so there is lots of time to build a winning streak. |

The top picks 2 through 5 all ran out of the money.
Luckily, the losing string of top picks started the race AFTER I chose Twirling Tiger.

#8 Fantastic Style, $26 to show Good luck! Thursday was indeed a tough day, as the second, third, fourth and fifth most popular picks were out of the money. We are already down to 562 perfect streaks after just two days of racing. |

Sat 12-31
Race 9
#12 Lucky Dolly, $10 to show Good luck! This has been as tough a start as I can remember, as only 118 players managed to start the meet with three correct picks in a row. Fantastic Style was incorrect yesterday and had as many picks for her as the next 12 horses combined. Time to start over and launch a new streak. |

#8 Basinca, $13 to show Good luck! Clem, I'm just curious, did Santa Anita reach out to you and offer you a consolation prize for finishing second in the place contest in the fall meeting? They gave me one when I was second in the show streak a couple years ago. Either way, it is a great accomplishment to be second out of 3,000+ players in this contest. Good luck and happy new year! |

Mon. 1-2
Race 2
#10 Big Bad Jon, $18 to show Good luck! After five days of racing, incredibly only 15 players have managed a show streak of five in a row. The top pick of the day has been off the board in four of the five days, and the one day the top pick was correct, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th picks all missed so it has been unbelievably difficult. It's worth noting that one of the last 15 surviving players is 2016 autumn showvivor winner Melolengo, who basically ran the table through whole fall meeting and is off to another great start this time. |
