Same old Vegas

I think the remaining poker rooms are going to be loss leaders for the few casinos able to incur a negative return on floor space that could easily fit a few more slots.
Some of the small rooms here in Reno have already closed. I haven’t looked at Las Vegas but I’m going to guess the same is true there. Limiting players has an impact on the bottom line at table games but substantially changes the game itself in poker. There aren’t any casual 4 handed poker players. They’ll be busy at the slots where they’ll have a better return on their just for fun money. |

i also viewed some casinos put plastic shields up between slot machines and black jack tables. if only a few people at the tables i think there will b more tables open.

You need to look at this from the businesses point of view. Revenue per table will be down. They aren’t going to open more tables. They’ll look to squeeze more revenue out of those that are open. |
