Default BC RANKINGS: Revised Post Draw

Live from Louisville!!

RANKING THE CUP CONTENDERS

Post draw, here are our current views of the final Breeders' Cup fields based on form and value as measured against liklihood of success. The draws did hurt a few horses chances, but overall, there is only a modest shift in our thinking 48 hours out from BC XXIII...

NOTES: Top 5 represent our current preferences for horses to be used in keys and boxes. Final selections Friday... Italicized horses not in our top 5 indicate ML overlays that have potential to outrun their odds...

Not much respect for Hurricane Run.

Make sure to play the Earthlink million dollar contest. You only need to pick the winner of every single race and you win. Not too difficult.

Any return to Hurricane Run's form from earlier this summer and he will win easy.

Question is, does he?

I think so, might even have to single in some pk4's.

Why would he? What indicates he will return to that form? This race to me seems like an afterthought to the connections who werent likely to run as of two weeks ago.

And Steve, I've got to ask. What the hell do you see in Street Sense that I am missing? I mean, his ride in the Futurity seemed to be mistimed by Borel, but I dont know man...

Hurricane Run can run at 80% and beat this field. I don't think we will see a 120 beyer from him (like his 134/130 timeform in last years Arc or this years Tattersalls), but I think he runs well enough to beat this bunch. I just hope many people pass on him and we get a decent price.

Default Street non-Sense - The Weight

Street Sense doesn't have a prayer. I plan on weighing him down with the heaviest $2 in racing. They might as well scratch and save him for another day.

I wonder how you came up with Gatorize. Helen Pitts? I still don't see it.
Again, the weight is on Cotton Blossom.

I wonder ...if I put $2 on Invasor if that will keep that horse from hitting the board ?

ateam. I weighed him down and he still won. I thought because I was betting him he wouldn't win. I hope no one misunderstood what I meant by that

as a matter of fact I hit the tri and wondered why I didn't bet the Super
cause I'm stupid
I guess
you know how it is.. the day is long it's early in the BC and you don't want to invest everything in the first 2 races.. I should have
but didn't

Wing - Jerry was the real jinx. And I'm so glad he changed his Mile pick.

I saw your $2 jinx. I remember your jinx quite well. But no computer access at the track, so I forgot that you threw $2 on Street Sense. KA ChING!

they ran the distaff first a few years ago
the way I had it figured Adoration would run
1st all the way around the track
I had it as my best bet of the day
problem was it was my first bet of the day
up big early, down big late
I know how that goes
