Interestingly, aside from Marking, two other horses have come out of that maiden race in September to win maiden special weights, the runner up Dannie's Deceiver and the Leo O'Brien horse (4th) that won the first race today.
Meanwhile, the second race at Aqueduct tomorrow is a $40k maiden claimer. The favorite is Ideal Quality, who was 3rd in the Marking debut. Interesting that Todd Pletcher and his owners see fit to drop him in class when the race has been so productive. I'm sure, with so many "good ones", they just need to free up a stall.
