The ride by Jose Ortiz on Kid Cruz in the Campbell was an absolute gem.

Great decisions all the way through the race to win from 11 hole. Hustled to 3rd position even though 3-5 wide the whole way, correctly anticipating soft pace. Timed his run perfectly, seeing that Souper Lucky was preoccupied with the putting away the longshot speed (Kobel) to his inside and just swooped by him. Souper Lucky actually showed a little burst after KC goes by him.
