Have to be happy for connections like Godolphin for all of their success today. Always happy to see good guys rewarded.

At this point, they might have the Met Mile surrounded with Speaker's Corner and Prevalence. Life is Good is getting 30-45 days off at WinStar before returning to training and Elliot Walden wouldn't commit to any future races. Flightline still hasn't breezed, no way he's making the Churchill Downs Handicap or the Met Mile. Even if he's ready by early June can't imagine they will start back in that race.

Highly Motivated has a ton of works, I'd imagine he's got an allowance or something like the Westchester on tap. Not sure if the plan is stretch out Fulsome and Cezanne (and who knows who is now training the latter).

Jackie's Warrior is also ready, but can't imagine he'll go for the Met over the True North. I hope he doesn't make his comeback in the Churchill; 7 furlongs going to be tough to negotiate off the bench and surgery. Fearless might be ok cutting back to one turn.

Now that I think about it, Olympiad can win it if Mott is willing to put two in there.

Don't you think Olympiad will aim for the Stephan Foster?

Most likely, but if he tries the Oaklawn Handicap first ($1 million purse) and gets beat perhaps they will consider cutting him back.

Plus, considering his sire and his previous long layoff, his time might be limited. The Met Mile is a prestigious Grade 1 and the Stephen Foster is a Grade 2.

Jackie's Warrior is running Saturday at Oaklawn in the Count Fleet and Motivated is running at Keeneland.

Thanks; Aloha West is nominated to the Count Fleet too and has some sharp recent works. Hopefully the big purse ($500k) keeps them both in there.

I thought I just read that he was making his first start this year in the Derby Day race.

Yeah, I guess it's too much to anticipate the horse could make both races with only 3 weeks in-between. Too traditional I suppose.

It's hilarious, I was reading an old Sports Illustrated article about the 1987 3yo crop. Mack Miller and Shug McGaughey are quoted griping about the Breeders' Cup being scheduled for late November that year and how difficult it would be to wait 6 weeks between starts.
