Only four entries for the Cotillion? Nice fields for the rest, especially the Derby.

If you combine the Cotillion and the Derby, you could have one awesome race.

Does anyone think Dixie Strike has a chance in the Cotillion? 1 for 1 on dirt...

I guess because it consistently draws MUCH more accomplished horses.

We think she does, dirt I think is her favorite surface but she is able to handle turf and synthetics. That being said we know this is a very very very to assignment ahead of her. I would love to see the race set up this way MMA go after Questing out of the gate and those two hook up early and often then I am still not sure we could get by both of them, it doesn't hurt any that we have Dominquez aboard. Hey we had to take a shot when we found out there were only 3 others in the race can you blame us.

I wouldn't be going out of my way to run against Questing either, but this is a new low. Four horses for $1M.

it's crazy.
some complain that purses aren't big enough.. then a big purse comes along, and you can't get entrants. doesn't make sense, especially when it comes to fillies. hell, fourth here pays more than first does in many other races.

I thought Dixie Strike ran well considering the slow as hell pace.
