Mind you the Malibu was the only race at Santa Anita that I watched on Saturday, but I was surprised to see Runhappy only get a 102 for that effort.

makes zero sense in context unless you believe the entire generation of horses are just lengths slower then a couple decades ago.

They talk about all the chemicals in the sport....they must not be doing much because according to the beyers they are making the horses slower, if you believe chemicals enhance (or I guess limit performance).

If Birdatthewire got an 89 then the Malibu should have been a 107. 1.55 seconds = 18 points.

The track didn't change at all in the 30 minutes between the two races. Bogus number either for the La Brea or for the Malibu, take your pick.

Why not mention the 2YO maiden race, Phil, which fits perfectly with the Malibu, and makes it clear they bumped up the La Brea? You're a smart guy...surely you knew that.

Not sure either of them believe either? Beyer Figs are good for some people Browns are good for others. If you think think Stontastic and her 11x figs is capable of running with and beating Runhappy G-d bless you and welcome to parimutuel racing. The point is not that Stontastic fig is numerical incorrect its most likely not, its simply not a useful tool for measuring ability in this isolated vacuum.
