Pickin' On Dixie

I have always enjoyed the sounds of the banjo. Some of my favorite banjo tunes are Foggy Mountain Breakdown, Orange Blossom Special and Dueling Banjos. Ricky Skaggs and Alison Kraus are my favorite Bluegrass aritist. Any of you enjoy banjo pickin' and Bluegrass music?

I enjoy Bluegrass when in the mood...went to school in WVa and we played some, when I was in the jug band, we played some bluegrass songs as well. Really got into jug band music...Egg Plant That Ate Chicago and similar stuff.

Sometimes I loves me some Bluegrass. Used to catch a show on Saturday afternoon public radio, about three hours long and they played nothing but BG. Allison Kraus in particular was very talented. Bill Monroe is another I remember.

Well, I'm from the Bluegrass state. Dualing Banjo's is a good one. My 7th grade teacher had a bluegrass band, they force fed us thier music all year, made us learn about it, and they sucked.
