Default "123racing.com" Pick 'Em Contests

123racing.com is showcasing their web-based competitions at Royal Ascot in the UK beginning today through Saturday June 24th. "123" is from New Zealand and will be sponsoring Derby Trail... They've been running these "pick 'em" games in NZ for several months, and it's a lot like the old Citgo Pick 6 game.

123racing.com contest are free. It's free to join and free to enter a competition, and for Ascot, the top three finishers in the game split a 1,000 British pound prize.

The game consists of picking one horse per race on a race card. If there are 10 races during the race card, you pick one horse in each of the 10 races. Points are accumulated by having your horse finish in the top three. 3 points are given to the 1st place finisher, 2 points to the 2nd place finisher, etc., and bonus points are awarded based on the tote payout...

You can handicap the races or play it like Lotto! Visit 123racing.com and register, then play Royal Ascot. After Ascot you can also enter competitions from race tracks all over New Zealand (for a 1,000 NZD prize) and the UK. They've got about 3,500 users and it's gaining popularity.

We'll be a big part of their US activity too... Here's the link:

Thanks Steve,

I'm in and look forward to the card at Royal Ascot. You know, you guys always talk about how racing can attract more fans. In England, having lived there, it still is looked upon as the sport of Kings, very dignified, and as much as the role model here is a cigar chomping, unshaven guy, there it's a Lord or diginfied man in a suit wearing a hat. I think the question is how do we get there?
