Default today's show

another quality effort Steve.. loved the Sciacca story regarding Hank Goldberg. Maybe you can devote a show to the great racetrack characters/stories.. I know we all have some, I've forgotten most of mine.. hung out with some strange people at the Meadowlands in the 80's and 90's.

Golf,

Thx.. Technically, EVERY show is devoted to 'great racetrack characters'... Everybody involved in the track is Runyon-esque... Sciacca is a delight. Warm, endlessly generous and funny.. like a giant, over-sized kid. Anyone who is around the Barbecue at Toga gets a 'taste o' Sciacca'.. He and Shrek and Donkey hold court daily with constant camoes: Simon; Parisella; Zito; Frankel; Allday; Pat Kelly; Jorge Velasquez; Serling; track management; owners; press.. I may be the 'host', but Sciacca is the maitre'd and floor show.

And those strange-o's you hunf out with at the Swamp in the 80's/90's? They're still there...!

Steve, Chuck, Hooves in the Backyard-Summer '06 (Labor Day Wknd)
