Great story Tide! The effort by the Trojan family to make the kid feel good was huge...and to top it off with Pete spending time with him. Pure Class!

I have a similar story, About 4 years ago, i had a cousin that was diagnosed with leukemia as well, and given 6 months to live. He had always wanted to play football in high school. Was in 6th grade at the time. Through some people that his mom knew, the strength trainer for the colts invited him to come to a colts training camp pratice. He was all set to just sit and watch, but they let him participate. He caught balls from peyton. Marvin harrison spent 45 minutes just talking with him. Even after the pratice was over 3 colts players went out to dinner with us. I'd never seen him so happy, Happily he lived and while dealing with some mild side effects, lives a normal life. Sometimes, me included, pigeonhole athletes because we do not get to spend time with them personally. I will forever be grateful to several colts players who lifted his spirits that day.

Thank you tim, i always thought jim irsay was a prick, but he did several things that went above and beyond and for that i will always be grateful. It just makes me wonder ya know, how many times during my day, i could make someones elses day. If only we were all a little kinder to everyone else the world would be a better place(man how did somer get in my head )

Skippy: they are called random acts of kindness, and they do lighten your load when you reach out to someone else.
