Gets REAL QUIET here
After a Yankees series win over the BoSox...doesn't it? Yeah we're still 12.5 out but we'll take each and every win as bad as we play and all our injuries.

PS...don't know if/when I'm coming up to SAR this summer. All my guys from PaceFigs that we rent the house with are not going up till Travers week. PS...you see your FROGS TODAY?

My only question is at what point does your tired groin actually become "fatigued"?? Is it possible for it to ever become "exhausted"??

The Yankees need to be remade. They will probably make a little run at some point but the team is in serious decline. They just have too many old guys. Pretty simple. When the majority of your starting pitchers are regressing, your lineup which has little speed is getting old and your ace in the hole starts to show his age, where do you go? If you project the Yakees in three years they will probably have 2 starting players on the current roster left, Cano and Jeter. At that point Jeter may start to slow down in the field enough where he will have to move to a corner (3rd/1st) where his skills are much less valuable than at SS. Cano is still very young and should improve his plate disipline and fielding but who knows? It looks like Arod may not be back, Giambi is pretty close to being finished, Posada may be around but will more likely be a part time catcher with a huge contract, Matsui will be gone, Damon should be gone, Abreu will be gone, Mussina, Pettitte, Mariano, ect. Sure they have some nice players in the minors and Hughes looks like a star but replacing all these guys over a short period of time and not being a .500 team will be impossible. The new GM (yes they will have one by then) may not have to deal with George but he will have his work cut out for him.

This was only a matter of time for the Yanks. On the bright side, you can always go out and spend more on some talent that is younger. Let's be honest, we all know sooner than later the Grady Sizemore's and such of the league will be in pinstripes. I just hope the Sox can continue to find diamonds in the rough, mixed in with some real talent and chemistry to comepete with them. |

No doubt that this will be another expensive off season for the Yanks. Don't forget that they are moving into a new stadium in 2 years. So the pressure is on now more than ever to have a championship calibur team by then. Some how they have to turn over about 60% of the roster and to make matters worse is that most of the team is untradeable. Old guys with huge salaries. Besides a couple of young arms, they having nothing on the farm either. So once again they will be forced to, overpay for certain guys. They are already talking about getting Teixeira in the off season. They really screwed up when they didn't sign beltran a coupleof years ago, at least he would have solidified center field for a long time. Instead they stayed with Bernie a year to long and ended up with Damon who has been very old looking this year. There is another guy who had a huge series against the Yanks and then took them for their money. Just like Pavano, Giambi.

I heard today on NY sports radio that the Yanks are trying to unload Abreu already. Let the dismantling BEGIN.
And they have an out from the contract with Clemmens if they choose to exercise it (which they should do IMO)
