Default Molina on 'ATR' Thursday..

Victor Molina will join me on 'At the Races' Thursday, during Tony Black's segment at 6:00pm, to apologize to the racing public.. He'll accept your phone calls. He's thoroughly embarassed by his actions, and could not feel worse about what transpired yesterday...

And what could be a more appropriate penance than being forced to spend 30 minutes on air with you.

Trust me......I know of what I speak.

Oh, that's brutal. He's going to take phone calls? There is not too much good that could come of that. I think his apology to the racing public, in whichever forum he chooses to do so, a suspension, a fine (donated to the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation or some other worthy thoroughbred charity), and maybe a few Hail Mary's and Our Father's thrown in for good measure is penance enough. He shouldn't even try and explain as there is no explanation possible. As my Grandfather would say, "he lost his head". That's it, no excuse, just remorse. Does he really need to be chastised by the guy who insists the horse's hooves are done at incorrect angles?

Tell him to just call in when he is on a 'live' one and people will forget quickly

Can the public really be expected to wait that long?

I'll call in and tell him to keep his feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.

Default 'ATR': Download issue/Molina visit

Changes to the domain/URL are what's affecting the podcasts/downloads to 'ATR'.. Wayne and Equine Media (our IT agency) are working on adjustments..

Thanks for the heads-up(s) and your patience...

Ditto that thought. He's not the only human with a "temper" that I've seen, both on the track and off.

Sounds like this rider just screwed up......having worked on the track it does not take much to kick a horse, I would be dishonest to say I have not done it when provoked (not making it ok).

Default Im not excusing his actions

But having worked on the backstretch b4 ive seen more than my fair share of kicks delivered to horseman and horses a like. My feeling is he made a mistake and lost his cool, we all have done so. Ive kicked one of horses b4 but thats b.c it tried to kick me first. I own 7 non racing horses and am not ashamed to let them kno when they have crossed the line. He's got a lot of guts and intestinal fortitude.

Shed Row Confidential

....you need theme music from those Buddy Morrow albums from the 50's (Impact or Double Impact) music from those police, crime shows. Really "jazzy" stuff! Take a listen...
