Fourth of July Bean Casserole

½ pound bacon, diced
½ pound ground beef
½ pound bulk sausage
1 cup chopped onion
28 oz. pork and beans
17 oz. baby lima beans (drained and rinsed)
16 oz. light red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
½ cup BBQ sauce
½ cup ketchup
½ cup sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
2 TBS. prepared mustard
2 TBS. molasses
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. chili powder

In large skillet or dutch oven cook bacon, beef, sausage and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender, drain well. (I cook bacon separately to get it crispy)
Add beans and mix well.
In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients. Stir into meat and bean mixture.
Cover and bake at 350 for 45 min., uncover and bake 15 additional minutes. Or cook in crock pot. Approx. 12 servings.
I usually double if I am taking to a pot luck.
