Can't see anything beating Zarkava. I'm still not quite sure why they won't bring her over here or to Ireland. Maybe she isn't quite as good as she has looked so far??

two really interesting betting races on betfair.. conference call is 33-1 at the moment.. i think she is 2nd best in the race and at that odds has to be a bit of a play. zarkava should piss in but if she doesnt CC will be the one to take advantage I think/.

In the 2000, you can get a good price on any horse you fancy. If Godolphin were in form, Rio at 6-1 is a steal but the fact that they cant explain Ibn's shocker last week has to be a concern. Id narrow this race down to Thewayyouare (will prob need further though) Tamayuz (same comments apply), GeorgeBernardShaw and Paco Boy..

I thought Campanologist would run well yesterday considering he hadn't gone to Dubai, but even he wasn't at his best. What do they do to these horses.

I couldn't be backing Rio with stolen money today (you watch him piss in now!) Georgebernardshaw has made giant steps this year and the way Aidan is flying now, he might be too good. It's a difficult race, though.

plus, i didnt realise how bad the draw is at longchamp, you can nearly completely dismiss anyone drawn 12 or higher...

Frankie gave Rio a shocker in the French 2,000. Not saying he was good enough to win, but Frankie never even put him in the race. He kept going for gaps, which were just not there.

When are they going to get rid of him.

Zarkava looked in trouble about a furlong and a half from home, but she soon picked up. With her beating the same sort of horse each time, I'm not quite sure what to think of her. She is visually impressive each time she runs, but I'm not really convinced with what she is beationg on each occassion. If she was really THAT good, why not come over and win our Guineas (like the other classy French filly, Natagora did?) Or why not come over and win the Oaks (which doesn't look like a vintage renewal on paper yet) if she is THAT good?

Jury is still out as far as I am concerned.

yeah i agree with ya regarding frankie.. i think the winner had flown but was in a shocking position and got going too late..

regarding Zarkava, the french program makes it very easy for a filly to stay locally as a 3yo. she doesnt really need to travel to win G1s, i think they will challenge her but it may be later on and it may be in something like the prix moulin or jaques le marois
