Default Federer vs. Nadal

This has all the makings of a classic. Nadal is killing Federer now but I expect a close match.

Yea, but it's early. Right now he looks unbeatable, but Roger wants this one so bad I don't see him giving up. Roger's got an unusual strategy coming to the net so much. I think he'll put on a good showing.

Federer plays on clay like he does not
think he can beat Nadal. Nadal is Ungodly
on the stuff, but Federer (if he is considered
the greatest of all-time) has got to show
he can cross the guy up.

He never has at this venue.

Message to Roger from Bjorn.

Never stop playing a point.
Your opposition never does.
Play every point like the ball is coming back.

He's trying a different strategy and it's not working and he's making too many mistakes, but again it's early. I see this going 4-5 sets.

I may be changing my mind after that point. Nadal is on fire. 30-0

Roger's outfits are getting more feminine each slam. Might be in a dress by the Open.

You would think people would just admit this guy is the best clay player ever. Maybe if he wins 5 in a row.

He can't cross him up though. There are a couple of reasons the first of which is conditioning. Nadal is the fastest and strongest out there. The biggest difference though is with the slow surface the ball bites, sits up and he is able to set up and hit forehands all day. Remember he is right handed, so when he hits his backhand, he's able to do with his dominant side being the lead, so he is actually hitting forehands all day. Plus factor in only 11 mistakes all day and 75% first serve and that equals total domination. Federer will never win the French as long as Nadal is playing.
