Tampa Tuesday 1-6-09
Pick 4:
Race 7 - Clm 12500 N2L - 6.0f Dirt 7 - Faraway Kingdom - First two tries after maiden breaker adequate. Now, the drop and the trip south from Stickney. Should crush these. 2 - Misleader - Draw a line through her last race, a turf experiment that went all wrong. Drops to half the CRC price two back where she ran an even fourth. The only other one in the race. Race 8 - Clm 25000 - 1m 40yds Dirt 8 - Right Flanker - Been working very well for his return. Wire to wire threat from the outside post. 1 - Tour the Hive - (Note: I do not like the 1A, if TtH scratches, I bail) - 12 year old won 2 of 6 starts as an 11 year old. Working in the morning like he still loves the game. Big shot if he goes. 2 - Maraquero - Three sharp wins since August. Does not string them together, he seems to need one or two after the wins. He's had 60 days to recover from his last win. Medina knows him well. Race 9 - MSW 20k - 1mile Turf 9 - Perfect Find - Indian Charlie above average with firsters and turf runners. Dam's babies have won on the turf 37% of their races. Ritchey a solid 22% with firsters. The numbers and the breeding are there. 2 - State Treasure - Should be solid if she can avoid a duel with Forest Grinder. Got beat by a good one on opening day. 5 - Forest Grinder - Should be solid if she can avoid a duel with State Treasure. May be sitting on a big one. 4 - Lydia's Smile - Been facing much better. Adds shades and Centeno. Race 10 - Clm 5000N2Y - 6.5f Dirt I was excited about this pick 4 sequence until I saw the dreaded dated nickel. 11 - Red Sherry - Fell way further back than usual in her meet debut. Addition of hustling Ronnie Allen will keep her closer. Going for her 6th victory over the Tampa sand in her first start as a 10 yr old. 8 - Deus Vult - Let's see if GPK's boy Filemon can get this one out of the gate cleanly and to a better start. Only missed the board once in 5 Tampa starts against tougher competition. 4 - Gold Jolie - Just missed going 6f in her last. Hopefully the bug can time this one better. 2,7/1,2,8/2,4,5,9/4,8,11 = $72 pays $124.70 GL to all. Last edited by Bigsmc : 01-06-2009 at 04:51 PM. |
