He was the only guy selling tickets to Arrowhead. The Draft pick isn't even for this year.

You live in Spfd? i just moved from there (well, Ozark) Yes...i am devastated over the loss of Tony Gonzalez...I was not much of a Chiefs fan for a long time, but I loved Tony, and thereby have come to love the Chiefs. I feel like this is a mistake because I think they are going to get REALLY good really soon (next year or 2). We have a lot of young talent and what appears to be a competent quarterback this year. I thought Tony would want to stay. I will watch Atlanta's games though and as long as Tony retires and goes to the HOF as a Chief I will be satisfied. (I'd love to see them get Chase Coffman to replace TG this weekend. Probably not likely to happen, but I can always hope.)

That was a raping by Kansas City. They offered up Gonzalez during the season last year and the best offer was a 3rd rounder from Buffalo and Gonzo refused to go to Buffalo. No one else would offer more than a 4th. So Atlanta could have had him help them down the stretch run last year for a 3rd and would still have him and instead now have to give up a 2nd. Absolute idiocy. He has two good years left, tops. Great trade for the Chiefs.

I thought he had said he only wanted to play another year or two? If that is true, a second round pick is pretty good.

Well, I'm just pissed off mostly because I'm a fan of TG, it's probably a pretty good deal, but I had just hoped that he would retire with the Chiefs. Watch the Chiefs be really good this year and Atlanta totally suck...I would feel bad, but now I must also root for Atlanta...I hope they do well.

That's true, but I would've thought they could get more than that.

Not to start the Favre crap up again, but he's a HOF QB and all they could get was a third round pick

Atlanta will probably do better than the Chiefs.... so you may actually have more fun watching football this year!! (trying to give you positive ways of looking at this situation).

By the way... I wish you were rooting for the Eagles this year because I was really hoping they would pick up TG

I'm really hoping the Eagles don't take Pettigrew cause now with Atlanta out of the TE picture there is a real chance of Pettigrew making it to the Bills at 28.

the talk is the birds are high on knoshawn moreno or however the fucl< you spell it.

I bet the Eagles pick up a Defensive Lineman who ends up being a bust... but they get a couple pro bowlers from the 4-6 rounds..

Happy Birthday!

This trade just makes me even sadder that the Jets once gave up a first rounder for Doug freaking Jolley.

If Maclin is gone at 17 (most likely), I wouldn't mind seeing the Jets pick up Knowshon or trade down with the Eagles.

This is true...last year was terribly painful. I was so hopeful when they got rid of Carl Peterson and while I liked Herm Edwards, it was probably a pretty good decision to let him go as well. I will be interested in seeing what happens in the draft. I had heard KC wanted a later pick than what we have right now.

It's not like they were going to take anyone good in the first round anyway.

10 miles northwest of Kansas City, Michael Vick is waiting to depart from Leavenworth. Somebody will want him. He'll play again, somewhere.

That's only because it was Herm and Bradway. Tanny/Mangini's drafts have been nothing short of awesome. It'll be interesting to see if Tanny/Rex get the same results.

Vernon Gholston

He's not so awesome.

As a Mizzou fan, I think whichever team ends up with Maclin will be disappointed in the long run.
I loved the kid as a Tiger, and he plays very fast, but he is a little inconsistent with his hands and his route running. I fear he is the next Ted Ginn Jr.
That being said, he played with a very weak-armed QB in college (Chase Daniel is accurate, but with zero zip), so perhaps a pairing with a big arm at the next level will give him more opporutnities down the field.
