Default Only 2,000 in attendance for MLB game

Last night, there were more fans in the stands (double the amount - 4,100) for a single "A" game in Troy NY (Tri-City vs. Aberdeen) than the Reds & Pirates first game at the major league level.

What's the big deal? The pirates have single A talent, look at their line-up. Anyone who pays to see the product and not see a game in a great stadium should be institutionalized.

Where are the jobs in Pitt these days? This is a depression after all. Don't mind those green shoots.

Do the Mets even get 2K these days?

(No diss on you Randall, I know they are your team)....

But really, isnt this like the most disappointing season any team has had in like a really long time? You guys at worst were suppose to at least give Philadelphia a run and contend for a WC.

I just read David Wright is being brought back. Why wouldnt he just get very well and start thinking and preparing for 2010? The fans would undestand. I doubt very much he would be a big enough draw to get people to go to games.

Tim, if it wasn't the opening of a new ball park, they wouldn't get 5k. They are a disgrace. I understand injuries but the way they lose games, and their sloppy play, and their classless GM. Unwatchable.

I believe the game was in Cincy......but, you're right. Pittsburgh is a football town anyway

Reds-Pirates wouldn't even qualify for the AAA championship game. What do you expect????????

the Reds basically have their AAA Louisville team dressed up as Majors. The optimist in me says thats a good thing that they actually have some talent in the minors, the pessimist says that's another 3-5 years of guaranteed losing....
