now if my giants could have made it since my brewers suck azz they would go before the dodgers . and would want a repeat of the giants vs angels series. i'm still pissed after the giants just said here take the series, we want you to have it. they gave that series away and had it all but wrapped up!!!!!!!!!

Like to see it, but the Dodgers have a really hard time hitting good pitching. They also have a horrible time trying to win in St. Louis. The demise of Billingsley is a huge break for us though. Problem is that Broxton has turned it around, and is faking everyone into thinking he can be reliable in the post. He will lose his control under pressure. Walk, walk, single, force play, game-ending double. There is no lead big enough if he starts choking. We have three starters who have pitched very well in big games in their careers. Kuroda has. Garland has. Wolf has won huge games, but at a different competition level. Can't trust Kershaw or Padilla. Both are unreliable individuals.

I'm not with you! Go Phillies! But I wouldnt really mind the Yanks being the other team.. much rather play the Yanks than Boston.

Would be surprised not to see the Yankees there as much as I would rather not.

Nothing would surprise me. Its baseball. Anybody can beat anybody, especially in short series. Its the one sport where the dominant teams often go down when you least expect it. Theres no reason the Tigers couldnt beat the Yankees in a best of 5. Angels and Red Sox are a total toss up. I dont know how anybody could begin to feel strong either way.

That's what the Giants do. Dodgers have won the World Series 5 times since moving to the West Coast. They've given themselves 9 opportunities. Since moving to Frisco, the Giants have never won the World Series. They've blown all 3 opportunities to do so. Frisco, San Diego, Texas (oh those mighty Rangers,) Houston, Seattle etc. are loser MLB Organizations that aren't close to getting their cities a 1st ring. Has that state of Texas (don't mess with Texas!!) ever had a World Series winner?

Given the choice (if somehow the Dodgers got there,) I'd love a chance to play the Yanks. '81 was nice, but I don't feel like it's settled yet.

The State of Texas does not have a ring but does have more World Series appearances in the last 20 years than your beloved Dodgers.

Nobody cares about the runner-up, but the Astros have been much more successful than the Rangers. As somebody who's favorite team lost three times in the World Series (before finally getting it done in '81,) I can definitely tell ya that I'd rather not be in it than lose in it. Not being in it for 20 years is not nearly as disappointing as seeing them lose it in '74, '77, n' 78.

Now that's just crazy. I simply can't say I prefer the 2009 Indians over the 1995 or 1997 teams.

Well, Cleveland's expectations are to be 2nd best, or less. It's comfortable for them.

You live in MD. Baseball ends for you in May when the O's are eliminated.

Cub fans are proof that it ain't just about showing up n' trying hard. How pathetic were the Giants losing to the Cubs last night? Had a chance to get to within 3 of the Rocks, and blew it. Just needed one more out. They would of had that out, but the catcher threw way high trying to catch a guy stealing second. Stick figure 2nd baseman came down hard. Then the Baker guy made them pay. I almost felt sorry for them, but no.

I guess that shows just how solid the NL West is, besides the Dodgers, they will do well in almost any other division
