SUN - Woodbine R4-R11 (PK4 selections)
Woodbine POST SCRATCHES TURF GOOD
R4 – G2 Canadian (Turf 8F) #2 Points of Grace – Owns home course advantage and the only one with two wins at this distance. She can rate, but she might just show them the way to the wire. 4TH #3 Miss Keller (Ire) – Although she’s in good form, she looks to be at the mercy of a pace less race. WON $5.20 #6 Latin Love (Ire) – Euro invader has came up short when facing Group 3 company and a minor award is most likely. 2ND R5 – Ont-C MSW 57k (Both AE’s must be used if they draw in #12 Silent Humor & #13 Wonder Phil) #5 Momentsthatmatter – Two sprints and a route angle, plus the addition of blinkers and lasix should wake him up. 4TH #8 Nanaimo – Faced open company on the lawn, now switches to the Poly, goes a route, and adds lasix. WON $5.00 #10 Ojibway Signal – Improved when stretch out in 3rd start and looks like he should be right there when it counts. #4 Control – Farish homebred shows a long string of works for debut. 2ND R6 – Clm 40k N2L #5 Flower Exchange – Rushed into the lead two back as the favorite versus similar and gets a better draw this time. 3RD #1 Church View – Decent record on this surface despite only one win. Fits well. WON $14.80 #6 Witch’s Coven – She should appreciate the drop, although she hasn’t seen the winner’s circle in over a year. 4TH #3 Medal Winner – Well traveled Assmussen runner should benefit from the inside draw. 2ND R7 – Ont-C Alw 59.7k N2L #3 Jester’s Bid – Must avoid a speed duel early and pounce on them late. #8 Queen On Line – Freshened up a bit and looks to be in good position throughout. 2ND #6 Sunday Victory – Back to the main track and reunites with Husbands. PK4 – 2 3 / 4 5 8 10 11 / 1 5 6 / 3 8 = $60 R8 – G1 Northern Dancer (Turf 12F) #3 Expansion – Looking for his 1st G1 win despite the fact that he is 0 for 5 this year. This runner has been facing a few multiple G1 winners and this group lacks that type of resume. Interesting to see how he’ll perform for new barn. #1 Marsh Side – Defending champ loves the E.P. Taylor course at Woodbine and they’ll have to get by him late to win. #5 Redwood (GB) – Juddmonte homebred has been in good form in Europe and would be no surprise here. WON $5.80 #8 Spice Route ((GB) – Consistent sort was impressive under Smith in only 2010 start and must take another forward step to contend for win honors. 4TH R9 – Alw 71.6k N1X #6 Smart Sky – Gets stakes relief and might be ignored at the windows. 4TH #2 Thunder Ball – His race two back gets the job done here. 3RD #1 Casual Dude – Connections took shot at G2 and switches back to the Poly. #4 Lady’s First Cat – Competitive runner should be in mix. WON $8.50 R10 – G1 Woodbine Mile (Turf 8F) #12 Famous Name – Juddmonte runner's only loss this year came in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes over some top European turfers. This is his preferred distance (5 for 7), but must overcome outside draw. #4 Court Vision – Seems to do his best running off a layoff and he’ll prove a tough customer late in this affair. WON $16.60 #1 Crowded House (GB) – Respectable in both North American starts and this could prove to be the optimum distance for his style. 4TH #13 Grand Adventure – Local hope is in razor sharp form and should be forwardly placed throughout despite the post position. R11 – Ont-C MSW 57k #6 Vinny’s Valley – Has improved with each race and just needs to translate turf form to the poly. DQ'd to 2ND #10 Shining for Us – Beaten favorite in last should benefit form most of the speed being to his inside. #12 Final Clearance – Came up short twice on the turf despite quick fractions up front. 4TH #13 Wookinwicked – Crossed the wire 1st in most recent before being DQ’d to 3rd. 3RD PK4 – 1 3 5 / 2 6 / 1 4 12 / 6 10 12 13 = $72 Good Racing Luck
