Oh,I can answer that
question from the Miller guy on ESPN2 TONITE. They said that Escobar(or as his deaf mother calls him "Kelvim") has never been beaten by the Tigers. Then he said "I wonder how he ever loses ?"
O.K.,this guy is a good pitcher, but he hangs pitches early in games, and gets hurt.He almost always can continue on,and hold the team down.Often, he gives up too many runs early, and the Halos can't get them all back.Another problem is that(like tonite) he hasn't been given good run support this year.Half his fault, and half the offense's fault. He should be about 13-9.Halos know he is good. They paid him.He ain't going anywhere. Here again,an Angel pitcher steps up in a high profile (national game.)See,we have a problem here with drive. They shouldn't need a f'n national T.V. game to bring their game to the park.I think we have a pattern here with this team.Play the hi-profile games very well against the Yanks and others, but f up many other games. They all count. They lack self discipline. Well, they have motivation now.Stick out your hand. The # of fingers there is about how many times the Halos can lose from here on in.I have said all along that they have the starters to make the post, but they don't execute the pitches.Potential isn't enough. The concentration has to be there.I think in the Halo players' procrastinating minds, they think they can take all 7 of those games against the A's.That's the way they think.I give them 1% chance of making the post.Better than nothing though.
