![]() Deputy Minister, too.
According to Equibase, he hasn't entered a horse since 2004. He had a big bout with cancer in the early 2000s

![]() Cape Town King, now 10, at one point was a highly-touted runner. Romped in an allowance race I think in his 2nd or 3rd start at Santa Anita (earning a triple digit beyer) and was being considered for big races before his career was derailed.

![]() Dehere was and still is one of my favorite horses.
Our TV signal went out during the Breeders' Cup that fall. It was all snow, but if you turned it up loud enough, you could faintly hear the broadcast despite the distortion. I listened all day so I could find out whether Dehere won or not, keeping track of the winners on an index card. I vividly remember Durkin saying, "There's a new kid on the block..!" |

![]() Yup. . . I live about 10 minutes from Due Process Stable in NJ. Robert Brennan (the Due Process guy - still in jail I think) owned Dehere and Deputy Minister. It's now one of the most exclusive country clubs in the country. Looks beautiful from the outside.

![]() In jail still, should get out this Christmas. The course/club is incredible, I did a bunch of work for the owners before moving out of that God forsaken state and got to spend a lot of time there. 250K rider just to join. OUCH!

![]() you dont have to pay the green fee's if you are a guest apparently. I think the 300-500k membership fee's support the course
![]() It was really nice, but there are lots of really nice courses in NJ.. I used to love Stone Harbor Country Club... dont know if it is even still around.

![]() Best thing is the spacing, never see another group. I love that. The big house that is off the lake on the left is the owners (one of the two) of the club. I spent the better part of a year working there.
