Fun afternoon at Belmont and another day where winners were tougher to string together than to identify. Monster P3 linking Chief Gaga, Shootdeworx and Fava to end the card tripped a double carryover of nearly $100k that will go to Saturday with today's cancellation protecting the track for the vastly important slate ahead. Santa Anita opens this afternoon and the first Eddie D. (former Morvich) anchors a good kickoff to the meet that will culminate with the Breeders' Cup.

So far, after 3 races, seems clear that your horse(s) need to be forwardly placed or hard-ridden to get involved to have chance on this main track.
